Today Johan SPA Hotel awaits you with a total of 59 rooms, from which every guest should find the most suitable one for themselves.
All room types include unlimited use of pool and sauna area, open daily from 08:00 to 22:00. Except for guest apartments with a kitchenette, buffet breakfast at restaurant Pähkel is included in the room rate.
It’s possible to order welcome drinks; also fruit, cheese and romantic platters with macarons and truffles to your room.

Standard rooms
Standard rooms with Sauna Suite, Standard Family room and Family Suite, are located in the historic part of the hotel, which opened in 1998 and was completely renovated in 2021.
Rooms are decorated in a modern Scandinavian style, emphasising closeness to the nature. The main interior design element of all Standard rooms is plywood. Both, the details and furniture, are made by Estonian design furniture manufacturer Radis, whose goal in furnishing is to value the local originality and save nature – values that we definitely share.
Although the 15m² Standard rooms are usually smaller than the Superior rooms, they have everything you need for your pleasant stay: bathroom with shower, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, widescreen TVs with cable TV, direct dial telephone, free Wi-Fi and openable windows.
Standard Family room
The 40m² Standard Family Room is located on the second floor of the building, has bathroom with a shower and consists of two separate rooms – bedroom with a double bed and a living room with a sofa bed.
Sauna Suite
The 60m² sauna suite is located on the ground floor of the building and has a sofa bed in addition to a double bed.
There’s also a kitchenette and a private sauna with a shower in the suite.
Family Suite
The extra spacious 70m² family suite, located on the ground floor, has a separate entrance. Suite consists of a bathroom with a shower; bedroom with double bed and a walk-in closet; spacious living room with a fully equipped kitchenette and a sofa bed.
Superior rooms
Superior rooms with Junior Suites and Suite are located in the newer part of the hotel, completed at the end of 2007, which were renovated in 2021.
Superior rooms are spacious and bright – about 20m² in size. Emphasizing closeness to the nature, wood and naked concrete walls/ceilings are a pervasive interior design element here. Thanks to its unique and “close to earth” interior design Johan SPA Hotel won Kuressaare`s Architecture- and Interior Decoration Prize in 2007.
Superior rooms are equipped with central air conditioning, bathroom with shower, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, widescreen TV with cable vision, direct dial telephone, free Wi-Fi, openable windows.
Junior Suite
Junior Suites are more spacious, about 22m² in size. Two of them have a bathroom with a bathtub and a separate toilet. They come with a convertible sofa or armchair.
Suite
In the 25m² Suite the bedroom and living room are separated by a wall section. There’s spacious bathroom with bathtub and separate toilet. The windows overlook one of the oldest streets in Kuressaare.
Guest apartments
Completed in June 2017, the guest apartments share an address with Johan Spa Hotel and are located in a one-storey building in the courtyard of the hotel. The interior design of the rooms is combined with rusticness of close to nature elements with modern solutions.
The apartments are 27 to 43 m2 in size and are especially suitable for families, as each has a sofa bed in addition to a queen-size bed, a fully equipped kitchenette and a dining table.
Each apartment has a private bathroom, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, widescreen TV with cable channels, direct dial telephone, free Wi-Fi and windows that open.
In addition to the studio apartments, there are 3 two-room apartments and a Deluxe apartment which stands out with bathtub in a bedroom.
All guests of the apartments can enjoy spa pleasures at Johan Spa Hotel’s pool and sauna center.
